Outreach for International Education
--- its Science and Philosophy

Defining the goals | Discussing the methods | Observing the results | Documenting the best work

In 2002 well over 100 people engaged in outreach at the federally funded Title VI designated National Resource Centers (NRC) gathered to present their work and to meet their counterparts and colleagues from other organizations concerned with promoting international education. A show of hands at the luncheon indicated that 20-25% or fewer were present 5 years earlier at a similar conclave. The 2006 outreach conference took place again at the University of Wisconsin. This time about 25% or more said they had attended in 2002. So there are many newcomers to international education outreach work. And even the few old-timers may not have reflected on their methods, mission and results. The webpages here are meant to articulate these things.
The 2006 sessions were audio recorded. Once the permissions have been given, the good ideas presented will be captured for all to replay.
